GiBUU
Introduction/Overview?
The GiBUU project is aiming to provide a unified transport framework for
- electron induced,
- neutrino induced,
- photon induced,
- and pion induced reactions,
- and for heavy-ion collisions.
For those reactions, the flow of particles is modelled within a Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck (BUU) framework. The relevant degrees of freedom are mesons and baryons which propagate in mean fields and scatter according to cross sections which are tuned to the energy regime ranging from 10 MeV to more than 10 GeV.
The presently used implementation is based upon a code written originally by S. Teis and M. Effenberger. This new implementation is written modular Fortran2003 and based upon a Subversion version control system, which allows for a concise control over the full development phase of the code.

- Compiling
Intel Fortran Compiler and g95: Both implement most features of the Fortran2003 standard. - Documentation
ROBODoc is generating an automatic code documentation. - Version Control
Our code is based upon a Subversion version control system. The code can therefore be restored to any time point of its development phase. - Further tools
